Release Your Stress

Some people are more prone to stress and anxiety.

They tend to be more sensitive and worry more.

While everyone experiences stress, some people can manage it better.

But no one can avoid stress in their life.

So we have to learn how to handle it.

If stress is impacting your life, try the following.

First, notice where you feel it in your body. Are your muscles tense? Is your heart racing?  Do you feel jittery?

Say to yourself, “I notice that I am having symptoms of stress.”

In other words, be an observer to your emotions.

Next, notice anything that came before these feelings. What was the situation?  Who did you talk to? What were you thinking about?

See if there is a connection. That could be the trigger or source of your stress.

Then accept whatever happened and release any judgment. Forgive anybody or anything that stressed you out.  Release any blame on yourself or others.

Next, process those feelings. Take time to journal about it. Or you can verbalize it by speaking aloud. Yell or scream if it feels right. You can even end it with a statement of forgiveness. Do this process for no more than 15 minutes.

Now, use some relaxation techniques. Take some slow, deep breaths. Listen to soothing music. Take a walk in nature. Meditate.

Now your mind and body will be clear of the stressful emotions and feelings. You should feel more peaceful and relaxed.

In this state of mind, you can think much clearer.  Solutions will come to you easier.

When we are stressed, we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

But there is always a solution to a problem.

"Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer."
